Ribbon Cutting for Funway Park on June 10

Jun 02, 2015 03:00AM ● By Paige Impink
On Wednesday, June 10, 2015, please join the Town of Tewksbury and the Community Preservation Committee at a ribbon cutting for the newly renovated Funway Park at the Livingston Street Recreation Area.  This project was funded with Community Preservation Funds approved at the 2013 October Special Town Meeting.  You can view a YouTube time-lapse video of day 1 of the build at or type ”Tewksbury Playground”.
Thanks to the commitment and hard work of many caring people, Tewksbury has a fresh face on its playground, providing area children with a safe and engaging place to play.
The ribbon cutting will take place at 5:30pm at the playground, followed by a free community concert at 6:00pm featuring Johnny the K. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket to stay and enjoy the concert, which is funded by a generous grant from the Tewksbury Cultural Council.
