2nd Annual Spelling Bee Begins on June 8th

The 2nd Annual Spelling Bee sponsored by the Tewksbury Educational Foundation and the Tewksbury Public Schools will be held on June 8th and June 9th, 2015 at Tewksbury Memorial High School. 

The moderator for the event on June 8th will be School Committee member Jayne Miller and the judges on the June 8th will be Tewksbury Town Manager Richard Montuori and Tewksbury Fire Chief Michael Hazel.   
  • June 8th - Grade 5 begins at 5:00pm
  • June 8th - Grade 6 begins at 7:00pm
The moderator for the event on June 9th will be Tewksbury Public Schools Superintendent John O’Connor and the judges will be Tewksbury Police Deputy Chief John Voto and Tewksbury Library Children’s Librarian Noelle Boc. 
  • June 9th - Grade 4 begins at 5:00pm
  • June 9th - Grade 7 begins at 7:30pm
The purpose of the spelling bee is to help support student’s efforts to improve their spelling and vocabulary, learn concepts and to develop correct English usage. 20 finalists from each grade was selected to participate. Prizes and/or certificates will be awarded to the students.
