Whether you know him as the original Batman or the Mayor of Quahog, he will be available for a VIP Meet & Greet, as well as pictures with the Batmobile and Batcycle to celebrate the 50th Bat-versery of the 1960's television series. As part of the celebration, a screening of the first episode of the series will be held as well.
Of course, in addition to Mr. West, a plethora of other stars will be present at the convention, including Gigi Edgley of Farscape and Julie McCullough from Growing Pains. A full list of the special guests can be found on the official Northeast Comic Con website.
In addition to the Batmobile and Batcycle, other famous vehicles present at the convention (and available for photo ops) include the DeLorean from Back to the Future, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the film trilogy, and the TARDIS from long-running BBC sci-fi serial Doctor Who.
Other attractions at the convention include: a selection of props from "Jaws", the Game Underground Arena (featuring video games, tabletops, and TCG's), the Starship Bridge Simulator, the Alice in Wonderland 150th Un-Birthday Steampunk Mad Tea Party, and "The World is Square" featuring acoustic video game music inspired by Square Enix.
A full list of attractions is available here.
No pop culture event would be complete without a huge assortment of vendors, and NECC has just that. From toys and games to amazing artwork, the NECC's list of vendors is huge.
While it's just as important for older fans to experience the nostalgia and passion an event such as this has to offer, it's equally important to give the next generation a chance to be introduced to comics so the hobby can live on. Which is why NECC has a handful of events, guests, and attractions dedicated specifically to a younger audience, in addition to maintaining a family friendly convention hall.
Tickets for the event are as follows:
Adult Saturday: $20 ($25 at door)
Adult Sunday: $18 ($20 at door)
Adult Weekend: $30 ($40 at door)
Kids 7-13 Daily: $10 ($15 at door)
Kids 7-13 Weekend: $15 ($20 at door)
Kids Under 7: FREE
Additional events have separate pricing. A SuperVIP Pass is available for $300, with only 22 available. The Adam West VIP event is $100, while the photo op is $80. Ticket prices for individual events can be found on the NECC website as well under "Tickets".
This event is happening this weekend, and seems to be one that any superfan won't want to miss.
