The Ryan School Band had its town tour this week visiting the North Street and Trahan Elementary Schools. The fifth and sixth grade band members, led by Mr. Tim Olevsky and Mr. Christopher Nagle, shared a concert and solo performances with the underclassmen. The tour is conducted each year to introduce incoming Ryan students to the band and instrument lesson opportunities. Students may rent or buy instruments and take lessons during the school day or after school. Examples of instruments the students were playing during the concert included the clarinet, flute, percussion (drums, triangle, cymbal), trumpet, saxophone, baritone horn, bass clarinet, tenor saxophone, and the oboe.
