Tewksbury Cops, Dispatcher Honored By Massachusetts Association Of Women In Law Enforcement

Tewksbury Police Officers Kimberly O'Keefe, Jennie Welch and Alysia Russo and Dispatcher Karen Poisson were honored by the Massachusetts Association of Women in Law Enforcement. They are pictured with Tewksbury Deputy Police Chief John Voto.

Four members of the Tewksbury Police Department were honored Thursday night by the Massachusetts Association of Women In Law Enforcement at their Spirit of MAWLE awards dinner at Hellenic College in Brookline.
The Spirit of MAWLE Award is given in the areas of Leadership, Mentoring, Courage, Community Service, Excellence in Performance and Civilian Achievement.
Officer Alysia Russo was presented with the award for mentoring. Officer Jennie Welch, Officer Kimberly O'Keefe and Dispatcher Karen Poisson were each Special Recognition Recipients.
With four honorees, the Tewksbury Police Department was second only to the Boston Police Department in the number of officers honored at the awards dinner.
