College Notebook: Tewksbury Students Earn Honors and Graduate

Local Students Named to Assumption College's Spring 2015 Dean's List

Recognizing outstanding student academic achievement, Assumption College has named 549 students to the undergraduate Dean's List for the fall 2014 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester.

"Assumption College is proud of the students named to the Spring 2015 Dean's List, many of whom balance a number of demanding academic, extra-curricular and community service responsibilities," said College President Francesco C. Cesareo, Ph.D., "The students who earned this prestigious honor have proven themselves to be devoted scholars in their academic journey to lead a life of knowledge, integrity and compassion. Their Assumption education will serve them well in their pursuit of success as they light the way in their chosen field."

The following students were named to the spring 2015 Dean's List:
  • Margaret Colman of Tewksbury, MA, a member of the class of 2015
  • Ashleigh Rennell of Tewksbury, MA, a member of the class of 2015
  • Courtney Woods of Tewksbury, MA, a member of the class of 2015
  • Morgan Hakala of Tewksbury, MA, a member of the class of 2017
  • Allison Giles of Tewksbury, MA, a member of the class of 2018
Tewksbury Native Laura Patriarca Named To Spring 2015 Dean's List At Stonehill College

Tewksbury native Laura Patriarca, a Neuroscience Major of the Class of 2016, was named to the Spring 2015 Dean's List at Stonehill College.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

Tyler Stein, Tewksbury Resident Named to Dean's List at Providence College

Tyler Stein, a resident of Tewksbury, MA and a member of the class of 2016, has been named to the Dean's List at Providence College for the Spring 2015 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve at least a 3.55 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credits.

Kayla M. Benvenuto Receives Degree from Western New England University

Kayla M. Benvenuto of Tewksbury, MA, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western New England University with a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Chemistry on May 16, 2015 in the Alumni Healthful Living Center on the University's campus.

For achieving a GPA of 3.80 or higher, she was also named to the President's List for the Spring semester.

Danielle DePierro of Tewksbury Earns Degree as Member of The College of Saint Rose Class of 2015

Danielle DePierro of Tewksbury, MA, has graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York.

DePierro is one of 1,510 students who comprise the College's Class of 2015.

Nicholas Chmela of Tewksbury named to Husson University's Spring 2015 Honors List

Tewksbury, MA resident, Nicholas Chmela, has been named to Husson University's Honors List for the Spring 2015 semester.

Students who make the Honors List must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.4 to 3.6 during the period.
