Josh Marriott and his wife Keely. Marriott left behind his wife and three small children.

In many ways, Monday was a typical day for Josh Marriott.
The Iraq War veteran, husband and father of three young children had wrapped up his work day and was heading home to his family in Lowell.
And then the unthinkable happened.
According to doctors, Marriott suffered a massive heart attack and crashed his vehicle.
By the time paramedics arrived, his brain had been without oxygen for several minutes. He was kept alive and brought to Lahey Hospital in Burlington but the damage to his brain from the lack of oxygen was too severe,
Marriott passed away Wednesday, July 1, one day after turning 28 years old.
The family of Josh Marriott, several of whom live in Tewksbury,
have established a Go Fund Me page to to help with funeral expenses and other expenses on behalf of his widow, Keely, and their children.
Here is what his brother wrote on the page:
On June 29th, my baby brother had a massive heart attack while driving hone from work. He was 27 years old getting ready to celebrate his birthday on June 30th. The accident left him without any brain function and we lost him on July 1st. He left behind a wife and 3 children. We are trying to raise money to help cover funeral services and whatever else the family needs.
