● By Bill Gilman
Josh was born in Boston on June 30, 1987, a son of William S. Marriott, III and Wendi Clayton. He attended the Lowell Schools and was a graduate of the Greater Lowell Vocational School. He was employed as an HVAC Technician and took great pride in his work.
Josh was a U.S. Army Veteran of the War in Iraq, serving two tours of duty. He received the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, the Army Service Medal, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
At home, Josh was a true family man. Everything in his life centered on his love of family. As a Dad, he loved playing with his little boys and spending time with his daughter. Family night watching movies, trips to the park, baseball games, hockey, camping, the beach, and countless other things with his children and family is what mattered most in life to Josh. He enjoyed walking his dog "Sargent", his trusted and loyal friend. Josh loved listening to Country Music and spending time with his many friends, including his good friend JB Culleton.
Josh married his true love, Keely, in their flip flops, on Salisbury Beach, a place they both loved to spend time together.
Josh's extended family was also very important to him. He loved to spend time with his nieces, nephews, and cousins. His uncle Phil was someone he enjoyed spending time with hanging out, fixing things, and talking about the military.
Josh was a devoted husband. He was Keely's rock and was supportive during her 10 month course and recent graduation from the LPN program at Greater Lowell Technical School.
Josh is survived by his wife Keely, his sons, Brayden and Connor Marriott, his daughter Kayla Marriott; his parents William and Wendi; his brothers and sisters, Larry Clayton, Dereck Clayton, Richard Kandrotas, LaShanta Magnusson, Ashley Cenerizio, Melissa Kandrotas, Kerry Fantasia, and Jessie Kandrotas; his paternal grandmother Margaret Marriott; his maternal grandparents Philip and Cindy Clayton; his stepmother Debbie Kandrotas; his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Mary Carroll; brothers and sisters-in-law, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was the stepson of the late Francis Lyons and grandson of the late William S. Marriott, Jr.
