Greater Lowell Elder Brown Bag Program Now in Tewksbury

Tewksbury, MA – AUGUST  2015 –Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, Inc. (Elder Services) is pleased to announce our new Elder Brown Bag Program site to begin on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Tewksbury Council on Aging, 175 Chandler Street, Tewksbury MA 01876. The Elder Brown Bag Program is a community supplemental food resource provided by Elder Services in collaboration with the Greater Boston Food Bank, volunteer support and community site coordinators.

The new Tewksbury Council on Aging site will be added to our three current Elder Brown Bag Program pick-up sites in greater Haverhill and greater Lawrence. Elder Services is providing brown bags to over 3,000 elders in need. The greater Lowell site currently provides 425 and will allow more opportunities for elders in the greater Lowell communities to participate in the program monthly.

The Elder Brown Bag Program is for income eligible residents 60 years and older in the Merrimack Valley, provided by Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, Inc. and the Greater Boston Food Bank.  For eligibility and/ or to enroll, contact Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, Inc.
