Tewksbury, MA – AUGUST  2015 –Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, Inc. (Elder Services) is pleased to announce our new Elder Brown Bag Program site to begin on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Tewksbury Council on Aging, 175 Chandler Street, Tewksbury MA 01876. The Elder Brown Bag Program is a community supplemental food resource provided by Elder Services in collaboration with the Greater Boston Food Bank, volunteer support and community site coordinators.

The new Tewksbury Council on Aging site will be added to our three current Elder Brown Bag Program pick-up sites in greater Haverhill and greater Lawrence. Elder Services is providing brown bags to over 3,000 elders in need. The greater Lowell site currently provides 425 and will allow more opportunities for elders in the greater Lowell communities to participate in the program monthly.

“This is a very special location, and we look forward collaborating with the Tewksbury Council on Aging to grow this needed resource in the greater Lowell area. Thank you to their Board of Directors, staff and community for welcoming us with such open arms” says Pati Fernandez, Director of Development and Community Programs.
