Tewksbury Student Collecting Items for Active Duty Service Personnel

Aug 18, 2015 10:03AM ● Published by Paige Impink

Tewksbury student Rosalyn Impink is collecting items for active duty service personnel as part of the Project 351 Service Initiative. Project 351 selects a student ambassador from each of the 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts each year to represent their community and encourage service in and through the community. The items, specifically chewing gum and playing cards, were designated by the project as items of need, and Impink has a collection box at the Tewksbury Public Library, thanks to Director Diane Giarrusso. A special card making event will also be held at the library on Monday, August 24 from 6-8pm to send good wishes to soldiers and thank them for their service and the public is invited. The cards will accompany the items.

Donations will be collected until September 1. For more information, visit www.project351.com.
