YTT Readers Have Mixed Views On Legalization Of Fireworks Purchases

Aug 25, 2015 02:32PM ● By Bill Gilman
In November 2016, Massachusetts voters will decide whether or not to legalize the sale of fireworks.
If the opinions of Your Tewksbury Today Today readers are any indication, it will be a close vote.
Here are a sample of the opinions readers shared online:

George Ferdinand -- I am for the will of the people of the commonwealth if the proposal has the signatures and passes language muster. Personally I will be voting against because the negatives outweigh the positives.

Karyn Sliva -- I don't see that it makes a difference one way or the other in the sense that people who want to set off their own fireworks are going to get them regardless by going over the border to NH. As for safety, responsible adults are fine, when large amounts of alcohol are added into the mix, that could be a different story. But then, you can't fix stupid. Either way, let the people decide.

Bob Ferrari -- Pot will be completely legal soon, so why not fireworks.

And congratulations to Karyn Sliva, whose name was selected from among those responding to receive a $10 gift card from Main Street Pizza.
