The Tewksbury Community of Artists will host a paint night on Wednesday, August 26th from 6:00-9:00PM at Magic Brush Pottery, 361 Main Street, Tewksbury, to support the 6th annual Greater Lowell Empty Bowls Project. The basis of this paint night event is to buy and paint a special bowl which will be donated to the 2016 Empty Bowls Project.
The 6th annual Greater Lowell Empty Bowls Project will be held on January 24, 2016 in downtown Lowell. People can sample fabulous soups donated by the local culinary students of Nashoba Tech, Greater Lowell Tech, Lowell HS, Shawsheen Tech, Nashua Tech, The United Teen Equality Center, Coleman Catering and The Chowder Factory of Lowell. Participants will be able to purchase these donated hand painted keepsake bowls that day as a reminder of all the empty bowls in this world. This event raises both money and awareness to help in the fight to end hunger. Proceeds benefit Living Waters Center of Hope in Lowell, and each year they in turn share a portion with another local organization.
The public is invited to attend The Tewksbury Community of Artists’s Empty Bowls Paint Night. Pre-registration is recommended to reserve your spot. Cost is $12 per person and you can choose between three bowls the night of the event. The TCA will cover the $12 cost for current members of the Tewksbury Community of Artists. We are accepting new member applications, so if you join the TCA between now and August 26th, you will get to paint a bowl for free!
