Top-notch comedy, amazing music, delicious food and dozens of prizes highlight the annual Laughs for Liam Fundraiser on Sept. 19.
After one year away, the event has returned to the Crestview, 36 Montvale Ave Woburn. Doors open at 6 p.m.
"The staff at the wonderful. They take care of absolutely everything for us," said Erin Knyff, co-founder of Liam Nation. "I'm so happy we're back at Crestview this year."
Tickets are $50 each and cam be purchased online at or by calling Knyff at 978-902-3661. Buy nine tickets for $450 and the 10th is free.
The show will once again by hosted by the Johnny Pizzi, a talented comedian and a member of the Liam Nation Board of Directors. The lineup of standup comics on the program includes Ken Rogerson, Mike McDonald and Graig Murphy. YouTube videos of the three comedians can be found below.
"Usually we have local, Boston-area comics. But these guys perform nationally," said Knyff.
In addition to the comedians, the night of entertainment will also feature a performance by the the music group North Shore
Acappella. The group offers an experienced blend of harmony, rhythm, and tempo to songs from the 1940’s through today. The popular group includes Guy Chiapponi, Tommy Duarte, Paul Lopes, Jimmy Martin, and Vinny Straccia.
Dinner features a full buffet and, as always, there will be dozens of raffle items to be won. There will even be an indoor Cornhole Tournament!
All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the multiple sports programs and charitable work. Liam Nation offers basketball, soccer, cheer, dance, bowling, baseball and its newest sport, floor hockey, to special needs young people.
But more than than, Liam Nation also offers support, both emotional and financial, to needy families with special needs children.
