Green Pride 6, Silver Pride 6
The Green Pride won a close one over Silver Pride in the Tiny Mights division, with Brady Babbit, Luke and Gabe Bouchie putting forth solid efforts for the winning team. On the Silver side, John Pasquariello, Ryan Callahan, Lucas Di Franco and Will Harrison all put forth solid efforts.
Green Pride 12, Silver Pride 0
Green Pride struck on the first play from scrimmage to pace its victory over Silver Pride. Silver was able to settle into defense, and had some great flag pulls from Braydon Moran, Evan Deleon and Jack Rattey. Deleon had a great game at quarterback, completing key passes to Kyle Sandberg and Rattey, and also converted a huge completion to Sean Carroll, who snagged the ball just above the turf and kept the ball moving for a big gain.
Blue Pride 21, Orange Pride 20
It came down to the final 14 seconds in this game, with Blue Pride converting a one-point conversion to earn its second win of the season. Orange started out of the gates quickly by returning an interception for a touchdown, but Blue responded with key rushes from Drew Rennell and Drew Nestor. Orange was able to hold off the Blue pressure and pick up another score to go up 14-0 with just under four minutes left in the half. With time running out in the first frame, Blue was able to get on the scoreboard with a Cam Kearney touchdown run on a handoff from quarterback Matthew Tramonte. Blue converted on the conversion to make it 14-8 at the half.
Orange struck again early in the second half, but Blue stymied the conversion on a key flag pull from Michael Carlson to keep the score 20-8. Blue’s defense kept their squad in the game with key pass deflections from Michael Parent, Jimmy Holmes and Ryan Sorrentino. Blue climbed within a touchdown on Kearney’s second touchdown of the game, and the key defense of Carlson, Rennell, Holmes and Justin Magee allowed Blue one more shot with 1:20 on the clock. With Drew Rennell at quarterback, he delivered a perfect strike to brother Jack Rennel to put Blue inside the five yard line. Going no huddle, Rennell found Magee on the tying scoring strike, then added another scoring strike to Kearney for the game-deciding conversion.
Red Pride 21, Green Pride 6
Red Pride struck early on defense with a key interception by Nick Foster to set the tone. Quarterback Zach Hayes took over on offense for Red, hitting Ben Piccolo for the score. Connor Broderick topped off the early score by converting the two-point conversion. Broderick also had an interception on the day. Chandler Dubay entered as quarterback and added a Red Pride touchdown pass to Jack Callahan.
Red running back Quinn Brown paced the rushing game in the second half with a key touchdown to seal the victory, with the extra point converted by Luke Montejo. Christian Rainone, Jason Morris, and Cameron Heichman show great hustle on both sides of the football.
