Tewksbury Public Library

All events are FREE thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library.  (Film screenings are also co-sponsored by the Tewksbury Lions Club.)  All events are held in the library’s first-floor, air-conditioned Meeting Room.  A book selling and signing will take place after each author event.  There is no obligation to purchase a book.  \

Fright Night: A Look At The History Of Horror Films

Thursday, September 24, 7pm-8:30pm

Join movie buff and teacher Frank Mandosa for a presentation on the history of horror films. Enjoy classic film clips, hear the real stories behind famous horror icons like Vincent Price and Frankenstein’s creature, and take part in a free raffle. Q&A follows the event.


Friday Night Film Screening of “Cinderella (2015)”

Enjoy a screening of one of Hollywood's newest DVD releases – Cinderella, a live-action version of the Disney classic.  When her father unexpectedly passes away, young Elia finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and her daughters. Saturday Night Film Screening of “Pitch Perfect 2”

Saturday, September 26, 7pm-9pm

Enjoy a screening of one of Hollywood's newest DVD releases -- Pitch Perfect 2, a musical comedy starring Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson. After a humiliating command performance at Lincoln Center, the Barden Bellas enter an international competition that no American group has ever won in order to regain their status and right to perform. Learn JAVA Programming Language

Monday, October 5, 6pm-8pm

In this week’s JAVA programming class, instructor Giuliano Amantini will teach a lesson on structures and objects, including: creating & using structured data types; combining code with a structure; encapsulation, achieving and benefits; Java libraries and documentation; classes, objects and the meaning of static; and working with packages. Bring your own laptop.
