Market Basket Robbed, Police Ask For Public's Help ID'ing Suspect

This man is alleged to have robbed the Stadium Plaza Market Basket on Monday, Oct. 5

 Tewksbury Police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in the armed robbery of the Stadium Plaza Market Basket earlier today.
According to police, the suspect entered the store around noon. He approached a clerk, said he had a gun and demanded money. The clerk gave the man an estimated $200, after which he fled the store.
Market Basket surveillance cameras captured several images of the suspect. According to the still images, the man was stocky and wore a dark, crew neck sweatshirt and a dark Red Sox hat. He has a mustache and a thin beard.
Anyone with information on the robbery or this suspect is asked to call the Tewksbury Police Department at (978) 851-7373.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and the public is urged not to approach him if he is spotted. Rather, citizens are asked to call police.
