Tewksbury leaps 7 places in new ESPN Poll

It might not been as big of a jump as players and fans wanted, and it definitely wasn't as big a leap as some in the media thought they deserved, but the Tewksbury High football team moved up 7 places to No. 14 in the state in the latest ESPN Boston Rankings.

Tewksbury, ranked No. 21 last week, blasted No. 7 Andover High, 29-12, Friday night at Doucette Field.

The Redmen will get another opportunity to prove they are for real on Saturday, when they play host to No. 4 Central Catholic.
