TYF Flag Football Roundup: Magee, Carlson Lead Blue Pride To Victory

Tiny Mites

Kindergarten-1st grade

Grey Pride 6 Blue Pride 0

The Tiny Might Grey squad won a close game against Blue, with John Pasquariello notching the line touchdown of the game on a great run down the left sideline. Kyle Dineen and Jack Ryan also ran the ball well for the Grey Pride. The defense was stout all game long led by William Harrison, Donovan Conway, Paul Ryan, and Ryan Callahan.

Green Pride 18, Red Pride 13

Green Pride won a close one over Red Pride in Tiny Might action. Luke Bouchie, Jack Leone, and Harrison Leinson all starred for the victors.

Mighty Mites

2nd-3rd grade

Blue Pride 38, Silver Pride 12

Blue Pride had a strong second half to outlast Silver Pride. Evan Deleon had another excellent game scoring both Silver’s touchdowns on some great runs downfield. Sean Carroll made a spectacular grab for Silver, followed by some nifty running. Silver had some excellent flag pulls from Noah Sederquist, Cameron Guendner, and Jack Rattey. David Benassi and Mateus Fraga ran the ball well for Silver.

Super Mites

4th-5th grade

Blue Pride 14, Orange Pride 12

Blue and Orange Pride did not disappoint in its much-anticipated rematch in a well-executed game. Blue hit the scoreboard first on a Michael Carlson 55-yard run. Orange would respond with a score of its own, but a nifty touchdown run from Justin Magee on a handoff from quarterback Ryan Sorrentino put Blue up 14-6 at the half. Orange was able to notch another touchdown to pull within two, but could not convert the conversion.

Jimmy Holmes, Drew Nestor and Michael Parent stood out for Blue on defense, while the second half effort from Cam Kearney and Jack and Drew Rennell secured the win with excellent play in the defensive backfield.
