On Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24-25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, Krochmal Farm on Jennie's Way in South Tewksbury will host its annual Safe Trick-or-Treating event.
Bring your children on a 25 to 30 minute hayride through a wooded trail to meet their favorite characters and receive treats from them!
All of your child's favorite characters (too many to list!) ar at Krochmal Farms. Think of the excitement your children will feel to have a meet and greet with them. Don't forget your camera!
Admission is $10.00 per person.
As a special note, Saturday's Safe Trick-or-Treat will be a peanut-free day, which will make it totally safe for any children with peanut allergies. Candies will be distributed that have no peanut products at all.
Also on Sunday, Oct. 25, the Town of Tewksbury will host its 17th Annual Community free Safe Halloween event at the John Ryan School on Pleasant Street from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be games for the children to play, face painting, safety demonstrations, raffles as well as arts & craft tables courtesy of the Tewksbury Police/Fire Department, Tewksbury Public Library, Green Meadows, Creative Learning Academy, Altitudes, Toys R Us, Aubuchon Hardware, Wicked Cheesy, AAA Southern New England, Merrimack Valley Pavilion, Big Top Party Rentals, RTN Credit Union, Heath Brook/Trahan Parent Advisory Committee, 6 Sassy Sisters, Hannaford, Community Teamwork, Lowell General Hospital, and Tewksbury Rail Trails.
In addition to the above activities, there will be a touch a truck courtesy of MetLife, Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) SWAT Armored Rescue Vehicle, Tewksbury Transit, Tewksbury Department of Public Works, and Tewksbury Country Club, a costume contest, a police K9 dog show, and entertainment thanks to Dance Expressions and Ram Jam Entertainment.
In case of rain, a smaller version of the event will take place inside the Ryan School.
