Redmen, Rams In Football Playoff Action This Weekend

Troy Carey (22) got plenty of blocking as he ran for over 100 yards and three touchdowns in leading TMHS to a 23-13 win over Concord-Carlisle.

Buckle up.
The road to Gillette Stadium begins this weekend with the first round of the Massachusetts High School Football Playoffs.
Tewksbury High (5-1) has earned the No. 2 seed in the Division 2 Northeast Tournament. The Redmen will host a first-round playoff game against Salem High (2-5) on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Doucette Field.
With a win over Salem, Tewksbury would host a semifinal game against the winner of Danvers vs. Beverly.
The Division 3 Northeast seedings are as follows:
1. Marblehead (6-1); 2. Tewksbury (5-1); 3. Danvers (5-2); 4. Beverly (5-2); 5. Gloucester (6-1); 6. Revere (6-1); 7. Salem (2-5); 8. Winchester (2-5).
Playoff tickets will be on sale during TMHS school lunches Wednesday through Friday in the TMHS School Store. Prices are $5 for Students and $7 for Adults.

Shawsheen Tech (3-4) has grabbed the No. 8 seed in the Division 5 NorthTournament and face a much tougher road. The Rams will be on the road for an opening round game against top seed Bishop Fenwick (6-1) on Friday at 7 p.m.
If Shawsheen Tech can pull off the upset, it would take on the winner of St. Mary's of Lynn and Greater Lawrence in the semis.
Division 5 North seedings are as follows:
1. Bishop Fenwick (6-1); 2. East Boston (5-1); 3. Madison Park (6-1); 4. St. Mary’s (5-2); 5. Greater Lawrence (5-2); 6. Greater Lowell (5-2); 7. Brighton (4-3); 8. Shawsheen (3-4).
