Police Log: Domestic Assault Arrest In Church Parking Lot

A Nashua, NH man is facing charges after allegedly choking a woman in a car that was parked in the lot at a local church.
Chad Silver, 32, is charged with assault and battery on a family member and giving a false name or social security number to police, as well as an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended license.
The incident began just before 10 a.m. on Wednesday. According to a police report, dispatch received a call from a witness reporting a possible domestic assault in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover St., in North Tewksbury.
The caller told dispatch they saw a man and woman arguing in the vehicle and saw the man allegedly choke the female. Officers were sent to the scene to investigate. After speaking with both the man and the woman, Silver was placed under arrest.

Additional Arrests:
Christopher Legerstrom, 23, 91 John St., Tewksbury, was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 3 and charged with operating a moro vehicle with a suspended license.
Robert F. McCue, 26, 6 Edgarton St., Billerica, was arrested Nov. 2 and charged with OUI-drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

Tuesday, Nov. 3, 4:48 p.m. -- A woman walked into Police Headquarters and reported she had been the victim of a hit and run on Monday at the intersection of Shawsheen Street and Main Street. An officer took information from the woman and a report was filed.
Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1:43 p.m. -- The Animal Control Officer was called out to Whipple Road for a report of a loosed dog. The ACO was able to get control of the dog and secure it. She also left a message for the owner of the dog to call her.
Monday, Nov. 2, 8:24 --  An officer was requested at a location near Vic's Waffle House on a report that over 100 feet of granite had been stolen some time over the weekend. A report was filed.
