Alexander Griffin (top right) Corey Goodwin (top left) have been arrested in connection with the robbery of the Mobil Mart in North Tewksbury. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Christopher McBride (bottom, center).

UPDATE 6:51 P.M. -- Tewksbury Police have announced the capture of Christopher McBride, 23, of 33 Spring Ave., Lowell. He has been charged with larceny over $250, larceny under $250 and conspiracy.

ORIGINAL STORY

Two men have been arrested and a third man is being sought by Police in connection with an alleged armed robber of a North Tewksbury gas station.

Tewksbury Police now believe the robbery of the Mobil Mart Gas Station/Dunkin Donuts, 940 Andover St., on Sunday night was an "inside job."

Store clerks Alexander Griffin, 19, of 31 West 6TH Street, Apt.10, Lowell and Corey Goodwin, 20, of 112 Thornton Ave., Lowell were both arrested for larceny over $250.00 (Mobil), larceny under $250.00 (Dunkin Donuts), conspiracy and misleading police officers.

According to Tewksbury Police, when officers arrived at the Mobil Station at around 9:50 p.m., they were told by Griffin and Goodwin that a man armed with a knife and wearing a bandana over his face had just robbed the store. Stills from the store's surveillance footage showed the alleged robber.

"While on scene, Detectives were able to determine that the clerks were involved in staging the armed robbery," said Police Chief Timothy Sheehan.

A warrant has been issued out of Lowell District Court for Christopher McBride, 23, of 33 Spring Ave., Lowell for larceny over $250, larceny under $250 and conspiracy. Police believe McBride was the person wearing the bandana in the video footage.

According to police, because of the fact that all three of these individuals were a part of the staged robbery and there was no victim, an armed robbery did not occur. Therefore, they were charged with larceny offenses from the businesses.

Police are asking anyone who knows where they can locate McBride, to contact Tewksbury Police Detectives at 978-851-7373.  If you wish to remain anonymous please call the Tip Line @ 978-851-0175 or send an email to tewks_detectives@tewksbury-ma.gov  .  He has an alias of Christopher Payne.

Griffin and Goodwin were arraigned at Lowell District Court Monday.
