Rams, Redmen Roundup: Shawsheen Tech, Tewksbury High Volleyball Teams Both Eliminated In Five-Set Thrillers

Division 2 North Sectional

Marblehead 3, Tewksbury 2
The Tewksbury High volleyball team saw an exceptional season come to an end with a tough 3-2 loss to Marblehead. Tewksbury dropped the first two sets befored rallying to win the third and fourth and forcing a deciding fifth set. But by that point, the Redmen had run out of gas and fell, 15-6.
Set scores were 
25-19, 25-15, 21-25, 16-25, 15-6.
The Redmen, seeded 6th, end their season at 17-4. Marblehead, seeded 3rd, improve to 19-1.

Division 3 North Sectional
Austin Prep 3, Shawsheen Tech 2
The Shawsheen Tech girls volleyball team fell just short of its goal of reaching the sectional final, falling to Austin Prep in the semifinal, 3-2, in an epic match.
Set scores were 25-19, 23-25, 15-25, 25-16, 15-6
Shawsheen Tech, seeded 2nd, ends its season at 18-4. Austin Prep, seeded 6th, improves to 17-6.

Redmen Earn Soccer All-Star Honors
Tewksbury High athletes earned MVC honors for both boys and girls soccer this week.
For the boys, Nick McKeon and Connor Blair were named League All-Stars. 
Connor Maclean and Ameen Kalkhoran were named All-Conference.
For the girls, Emily Velozo and Ashley Colarusso were named League All-Stars.
