Residents participate in a breakout session at the Town Center Visioning Session last week at the Senior Center.
(Editor's Note: The following information was submitted by the Town of Tewksbury.)
The Board of Selectmen formed a Town Center Master Plan Committee in September of 2013 which was charged with developing a Master Plan to improve the Town Center. The Mission of the Committee is to produce a Master Plan in a manner that is transparent and open to all stakeholders in an effort to provide a public process that is collaborative, cooperative and coordinated with the goal of achieving consensus and endorsement of the issues, goals and objectives, and implementation strategies.
After significant work by the Town Center Master Plan Committee during its first year of work, funds were set aside at the 2014 Special Town Meeting to hire a consultant to complete the Town Center Master Plan. In the spring of 2015, the Town entered an agreement with The Cecil Group to assist the Town Center Master Plan Committee with the generation of the Town Center Master Plan.
After the Public Visioning Session in early September, the Cecil Group, working with the Town Center Master Plan Committee has generated a Draft Concept Plan for our Town Center. Please join us for this important event and take the opportunity to contribute your ideas to this process. On Thursday, November 12, 2015, all interested residents and business owners in Tewksbury are invited to attend a Presentation of the Draft Concept Plan at the Tewksbury Senior Center, 175 Chandler Street, at 7:30 pm. An overview of the draft plan will be presented by the Town Center Master Plan Committee with the Cecil Group, followed by an opportunity to ask questions and offer constructive comments and suggestions.
Registration is not required and all are encouraged to join us on November 12th to enrich this process with their contributions.
Questions regarding this event or the Town Center Master Plan Committee in general can be forwarded to the Committee Chair, Bruce Panilaitis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
