(Editor's note: The following information was submitted by the Tewksbury Public Schools.)
Cheryl Crumb has come to the Tewksbury Public Schools as the new Out of District Special Education Coordinator. Cheryl replaces Rene Czyzewski who was hired by the Haverhill Public Schools. Cheryl brings over 23 years of professional experience to assist the Tewksbury Public Schools with students who are placed in out of district educational programs.
“During my previous position, I have worked with the Tewksbury Public Schools so coming to Tewksbury is very exciting. Everyone has been so supportive from the Superintendent of Schools to Rick Pelletier to the staff to the case managers”, said Crumb.
Currently the Tewksbury Public Schools has students in out-of- district placements.
“I have oversight over those children once the determination has be made to place them out of district”, Crumb said.
Cheryl has experience as the Interim Out of District Coordinator for the Andover Public Schools, a Therapist in private practice, a school social worker, school adjustment counselor, and residential counselor and as a Clinical Director. Cheryl has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley College and a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Salem State College.
“I look forward to becoming part of the Tewksbury School District and working with students and parents”, said Crumb.
