Tewksbury High School.

Notes from Tewksbury Memorial High School, presented at the Nov. 18 School Committee Meeting.

  • National Honor Society is still selling Thanksgiving Day game t-shirts for $15 each. Members recently took part in Make a Difference Day as one of the many community service projects the organization is planning throughout the year. The tutoring program is also up and running, and students are asked to see Ms. Puma for any questions.
  • The newly formed TMHS Book Buddies club visited the North Street Elementary School on November 4th and earlier this afternoon to read to third grade students. This club's mission is to promote literacy and service within the Tewksbury Public School System.
  • The Class of 2016 handed out senior t-shirts last week. Seniors who have not ordered a shirt but are interested in ordering one should see a class council representative for information.
  • Student Council is running their annual food drive through the rest of this week, and the winner will be announced at the pep rally on Wednesday, November 25th. Today, our delegates participated in the annual Northeastern Massachusetts Association of Student Councils fall conference in which our very own Connor Pennell and myself helped to organize the conference and give a workshop on stepping out of your comfort zone.
  • DECA is ready for their annual fashion show to premiere tomorrow at 7pm in the auditorium. All are invited to attend, and all proceeds will go to the Meghan McCarthy research fund.
