Police Log: Masked Men With Gun, Assault Arrest, Gas Leak

Tewksbury Police Department.

Arrests:
  • Robert A. Searcy, 62, 90 Patrick Road, Tewksbury, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 27, on an outstanding warrant for assault and battery on a mentally retarded person.
  • Larissa J. Lyman, 31, 30 Lowell St., Apt. 2, Wilmington, was arrested on Friday Nov. 27 on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.

  • Thursday, Nov. 26, 10:10 p.m. --¬†Tewksbury Dispatch received a 911 call from someone at Applebee's Restaurant reporting four males, all dressed in black and wearing ski masks getting out of a white SUV on Main Street. The caller said the men, one of whom reportedly had a rifle, then got into a smaller black Honda with tinted windows. Three officers were dispatched to the scene. The caller then reported the Honda fled in the direction of Lowell. Lowell Police were then notified and a report was filed.
  • Monday, Nov. 23, 12:26 p.m. -- A John Street resident called police and asked that his son be removed from his property. Two officers responded to the scene and all people involved were spoken to. A report was filed.
  • Monday, Nov. 23, 12:57 p.m. -- Tewksbury Dispatch received a report of a strong odor of natural gas at a resident on Merrimack Meadows Lane. Fire Department and Police personnel responded to the scene to investigate. National Grid was notified. Residents of the building and several neighboring buildings were evacuated temporarily as a precaution.
