Dec 21, 2015 04:29PM ● By Bill Gilman

Cheung Wan Li,

It is a brazen individual who operates a criminal enterprise in a location less than a quarter-mile from Police Headquarters.
Not especially bright, but brazen.
Tewksbury Police have arrested the proprietor of Main Street massage parlor that investigators believe was a front for prostitution.

On Dec. 18, TPD Detectives  conducted a thorough investigation into the HK Bodyworks massage parlor, which is located at 853 Main St. Suite 200.  More specifically, members of the Tewksbury Detective Bureau received information that prostitution was occurring inside the massage parlor between the staff members and their visiting male customers.

As a point of reference, 853 Main St. is the same strip mall that is home to the Bradford Lantern Cafe and several other businesses.

As a result of the undercover investigation, Cheung Wan Li, 50, of 25 James O’Neill St., Apt. #501) in Boston was arrested and criminally charged  with engaging in Sexual Conduct For a Fee and Keeping a House of Ill Fame.

Cheung Wan Li is the registered business owner of HK Bodyworks and Li was also working as an operational employee at the time of her arrest.

Li was arraigned at Lowell District Court Monday.

The Tewksbury Police Department urges any citizens who suspect criminal activity to call the Dispatch Center @ 978-851-7373.  If you wish to remain anonymous please call the Tip Line @ 978-851-0175 or send an email to tewks
