Wamesit Lanes Person Of The Week: Julie Rinaldi

Dec 21, 2015 09:26PM ● By Bill Gilman

Julie Rinaldi, this week's Wamesit Lanes Person of the Week, poses with Wamesit Lanes Executive Chef Kevin McGuire,

As a home healthcare nurse, 24-year-old Julie Rinaldi spends her days looking after the needs of others. But Rinaldi doesn't turn off her heart when she punches out of work.
A member of St. Francis Parish in Dracut, Rinaldi is active in the church's ministry to the homeless population in Lowell. Each Saturday, she is part of a team that parks a food truck in front of a Lowell homeless shelter, proving 50-100 people each week with sandwiches and soup.
"We also sometimes provide blankets and socks," she said.
Rinaldi was nominated to be the Wamesit Lanes Person of the Week by her mother, Karen Rinaldi. In her e-mail, Kathy Rinaldi cited her daughter's selflessness and hard work.
Her nomination read, as follows:
I would like to nominate my daughter, Julie Rinaldi. She is a wonderful daughter and just surprised me with an early 60th birthday present by having Lowe's put in a new kitchen counter, had our plumber install a new faucet and sink and she put a new backsplash and painted my (kitchen).

She is 24 years old, a registered nurse and is taking online courses for her bachelor's degree in nursing. She is the most caring and compassionate person I know. In her spare time, she is active in her church as she has taught CCD classes, feeds the homeless and always finds time to help others less fortunate! On year she donated all her birthday money for an organization that has birthday parties for homeless children!
She is a remarkable young lady who deserves to be recognized!

"My mother does so much for me, I wanted to give something back," said Julie Rinaldi, who has lived in Tewksbury 16 years. She has a younger sister and an older sister.

For being this week's Wamesit Lanes Person of the Week, the Julie Rinaldi receives a gift card to Wamesit Lanes Family Entertainment Center.
