Additionally, Traffic Unit Officer Christopher Scott was honored as a AAA Northeast Traffic Safety Hero.

Officer Scott was nominated for the award for his persistent enforcement of all motor vehicle statutes and his constant assistance and commitment to all of the Department’s yearly traffic and community safety initiatives, including the Bike Safety Rodeo, Safe Halloween, Helmet Safety Program, and the Child Passenger Seat Education Program.

Officer Scott has been an incredible asset to the Department’s Safety/Community Service Officer and has also been instrumental in establishing and maintaining the Department’s social media campaign to keep the community informed of traffic and community safety hazards.
