On Dec. 16, the Tewksbury Police Department, in conjunction with other local police departments as well as the Middlesex Sheriff's Department, conducted a search of classrooms, lockers and parking lots with canine search dogs.

“We do canine searches as part of our school safety plan in order to ensure that TMHS continues to be a safe learning environment for all students and staff. We are pleased to report that nothing was discovered of any concern," said TMHS Principal Kristen Vogel.

The Tewksbury Public Schools and the Tewksbury Police Department meets regularly to discuss ways to keep schools, students and staff safe. In addition, the TPS District Security Team meets to schedule drills of all sorts for the students and staff to practice.
