GYMNASTICS

Tewksbury 124.95, Chelsmford 120.2
The Tewksbury High gymnastics team improved to 2-0 on the season with a improves to 2-0 with a 124.95-120.2 win over Chelmsford High. The meet was contested at Absolute Gymnastics.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Tewksbury/Metheun 1, Lincoln-Sudbury 0
The Tewksbury/Methuen co-op girls varsity hockey stayed perfect on the season with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Lincoln-Sudbury.
Kelly Golini's second-period goal proved to be the game-winner for the Red Rangers (5-0).
Kaia Hollingsworth turned aside 27 saves to record the shutout. Kat LeFebre played an outstanding game on defense.

The unbeaten Tewksbury High boys varsity is ranked No. 12 in the latest ESPN Boston State Poll. Inexplicably, the Redmen dropped one spot from the previous week.
Here is what ESPN Boston had to say --
"12. Tewksbury (4-0, Last Week: 11): The Redmen keep rolling along with 20-plus point wins over Billerica and Malden. Back-to-back games Monday and Tuesday are the only things that stand in the way of their Jan. 5 showdown with Central Catholic."

Malden 53, Tewksbury 48

David Giuggio scored 15 points to lead the Redmen, but it wasn't enough in a tough loss to Malden.

Adam Pacheco poured in 16 points to lead the Redmen over Malden.

BOYS HOCKEY

Dover-Sherborn 6, Shawsheen Tech 1

Senior Zach Buckland scored for Shawsheen (3-2-1), with assists going to Derek Abreu and Matt Irwin.

WRESTLING

Shawsheen Tech 42, Lowell 36

Shawsheen Tech def. Tyngsborough

Matt Finn scored a huge win at 195 pounds to lead Shawsheen Tech over Lowell in a battle of Merrimack Valley powerhouses. The Rams also rolled over Tyngsborough to improve to 3-0 on the young season.
