Rams, Redmen Roundup: TMHS Hockey Sweeps Main Trip, Rams Tie Beverly

Tewksbury 8, Concord-Carlisle 0

The Redmen (6-1) hammered the Patriots from one end of the ice to the other.  Mark Gorman had two goals and an assist to pace the Tewksbury attack. Dario Riparo added a goal and two assists. Dom Raneri and Jonathan Fowler each chipped in with a goal and an assist.

Christopher Raymond made 16 saves to notch the shutout.

Tewksbury 3, Greely 0

Tewksbury rolled to a perfect 3-0 record in their annual Maine holiday trip.

Steve Hammel, Dom Raneri and Ryan Shehan had the goals for the Redmen.

It was a huge trip for Raneri, who also notched a hat trick on a win over Gorham.

Shawsheen Tech 1, Beverly 1

Shawsheen Tech improved to 4-2-2 on the season after battling Beverly to a 1-1 tie.

Jason Colletti scored the equalizer for the Rams in the third period. Assists went to Sean Collins and Jon Murray. Jack Stone made 26 saves.

Tewksbury/Metheun 4, Cambridge 2

The 6-0 Tewksbury/Metheun girls hockey team is Ranked No. 1 in Division 2 in the latest Boston Herald poll.

Kelly Golini had the hat trick as the Red Rangers knocked off Cambridge. Golini scored all three of her goals in the first period. Meghan Forbes added a goal from Riley Cote.

Freshman Erin Galella had 13 points, as the Redmen clobbered arch-rival Wilmington.

Football

Congratulationsto Troy Carey, who added to his post-season honors, being named to the 2015 ALL-USA Massachusetts Football Team. Carey was named to the Second Team Defense as a defensive back.

Shawsheen Tech def. Billerica

Chelmsford def. Shawsheen Tech

Shawsheen is now 5-1.

At the Lowell Holiday Tournament, Shawsheen Tech placed 8th out of 70 teams and was 3rd, behind Chelmsford and Central Catholic, among Massachusetts teams.
