Two Arrested for Heroin Trafficking

 A pair of Lawrence men have been arrested by Tewksbury Police and charged with heroin trafficking.

According to police records, the arrests came about as the result of a joint operation between Tewksbury and Andover Police, targeting drug trafficking along the Route 133 corridor.

On Jan. 4, Tewksbury Detectives worked in conjunction with Andover Police Detectives and set up moving and stationary surveillance on Andover Street (Route 133).

Tewksbury Detectives subsequently arrested Christopher Francisco, 20, of 7 Toye Avenue (Apartment #1B) in Lawrence and Anthony Ortiz, 20, of 78 Water Street (Apartment #3) in Lawrence and charged them both with Trafficking in a Class A

 Substance (Heroin) Over 18 Grams.

Approximately 23 grams of heroin was seized in the arrest.  

Both suspects were arraigned in Lowell District Court on Jan. 5.
