A cooperative investigation involving detectives from three communities has taken another alleged drug deal off the streets of Tewksbury.
Giovany Gonzalez, 24, of 58 Monument St., Apt. 22, Charlestown, was arrested Tuesday and charged with Distribution of a Class B Substance (Oxycodone 30 mg).
According to Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, members of the Tewksbury Police Department conducted a narcotics investigation into an Oxycodone/Percocet pill distributor delivering to locations in Tewksbury. Tewksbury Detectives worked in conjunction with both Billerica and Andover Police Detectives and set up moving and stationary surveillance on Lowell Street in Tewksbury.
As a result of the surveillance, Gonzalez was taken into custody. He was arraigned Wednesday in Lowell District Court.
