Allison Luppi '16, of Tewksbury majoring in English, was named Little East Conference (LEC) All-LEC second team for the first time.

Luppi becomes the program first choice at the libero position since Taylor Abelli in 2008 but is the program's fifth choice at that position in the last 11 years.

Luppi, a four-year player, concluded her 451-set career (tied for sixth all-time) with 1,727 digs, the sixth-highest total in program history. She also wound up fourth all-time with 218 service aces, 59 behind the all-time leader. Luppi was chosen as LEC Defensive Player-of-the-Week three times in nine weeks this year and was an all-tournament selection at the Springfield College Tom Hay Invitational Oct. 9-10.

Eastern wrapped up its second season under head coach Megan Silver Droesch with an overall 12-17 record. The Warriors were tied for fifth in the conference (3-4) and as the No. 5 seed, lost their LEC playoff opener in five sets at No. 4 Western Connecticut State University.
