Depending on whose forecast you listen to, Tewksbury and the Merrimack Valley will see anywhere from eight inches to a foot or more of snow from Monday's storm.
According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Warning is in effect through 7 a.m. Tuesday, with snowfall accumulations up to eight inches.
But local forecasters, such as Boston's WCVB- Ch. 5, have called for a slightly different track to the storm and accumulations of a foot or more for the Merrimack Valley.
Bracing for the worst, Tewksbury Town Manager Richard Montuori ordered all Town Offices to close at 1:30 p.m. today.
The Tewksbury Public Library is also closed today.
The Tewksbury Public School District, Shawsheen Tech and scores of other districts across Central and Eastern Mass. called off classes for the day.
Dance Expressions announced it would be closed Monday night.
Today's storm is not expected to include the heavy, wet snow that rolled across the region on Friday, knocking out power to thousands of National Grid Customers.
We will keep you posted as to the latest storm information, including closings and cancellations.
As of 3 p.m., Tewksbury Police reported that road conditions were deteriorating rapids and advised extreme caution.
