Caretaker Of Elderly Woman Accused Of Larceny

Chanthou Khom is charged with larceny

A 27-year-old woman was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Thursday, charged with stealing from the elderly woman she had been hired to care for.

The Tewksbury Police Department arrested Chanthou Khom, 27, of 25 Linwood Street, Apt. B, Lowell on Feb. 10 and charged her with larceny over $250 from a person over 60 years of age, larceny from a building and identity fraud.  

According to Chief Timothy Sheehan, TPD detectives conducted an investigation into a report that Khom was stealing from an 83-year-old woman living at the Heatherwood Retirement Living facility in Tewksbury.

Khom, who was employed by Senior Helpers (Home Health Caregivers) and was assigned to care for the victim, according to police. Khom allegedly stole checks from the victim and used her debit card without authorization.
