Senior Broc Dokos turned in a dominant performance, rolling over four opponents, en route to the Division 2 State Wrestling Championship at 220 pounds, over the weekend at Marshfield High.
Dokos was unstoppable, dispatching all four of his opponents by pinfall, with none of the matches lasting more than three minutes.
Dylan McAteer (113) and Blake Hiltz (145) placed 7th in their respective weight classes, as the Redmen placed 17th as a team. Both McAteer and Hiltz went 3-2 over the weekend.
But the story of the tournament for the Redmen was Dokos, who refused to let anything slow him in his quest for the State Title.
Dokos opened the tournament Friday with a 48 second pinfall win over Charlie Dumas of Hopkinton. He followed that up with a pin in 2:59 over Josh Cohen of Wellesley to advance to Saturday's semifinals.
It was more of the same in the semi-finals, as Dokos dispatched No. 4 seed Dyland Booth of Concord-Carlisle in just 2:37. That set the stage for what should have been a hotly contested final between Dokos and No. 2 seed Dave McNeil of Woburn.
But that was not to be the case.
Dokos turned the title match into a glorified sparring session and mercifully put McNeil away via pinfall in 1:35 to claim the State Championship.
Dokos now moves on to the All-State Tournament this coming weekend at Reading High.
