It's been a highly successful winter season for the Shawsheen Tech Athletics Department and things could get a whole lot better.
The Rams have made the post-season in boys and girls basketball and boys hockey, with action in all four tournaments starting this week.

Boys Basketball
Shawsheen Tech (12-6) earned the No. 3 seed in the Division 3 North Sectional behind North Reading (18-2) and Lynnfield (16-4).
The Rams will open play in the 14-team tournament on Wednesday, March 2, 7 p.m., at home against No. 14
Stoneham (7-13). With a win, the Rams would advance to the Quarterfinals against either No. 6 Amesbury (12-7) or No. 11 Saugus (9-11).

Girls Basketball
Shawsheen Tech (12-8) is the No. 9 seed in the 12-team Division 4 North Sectional. The Rams are scheduled for a First-Round game Monday, Feb. 29, 7 p.m., on the road at No. 8 Whittier Tech (12-8). With an upset win, Shawsheen Tech would advance to the Quarterfinals and a matchup against No. 1 Fenway (17-3) on Friday, March 4.

Boys Hockey
Shawsheen Tech (9-7-4) is the No. 9 seed in the 13-team Division 3 North Sectional. The Rams will open play on Thursday, March 3, 8 p.m. against No. 8 Swampscott (11-9) in a game to be played at Woburn.
If the Rams can pull off the upset, they will advance to the Quarterfinals, where they will face No.1 Lowell Catholic (12-5-2) on Sunday, March 6. Time and location are TBA.
