It is my pleasure to endorse Todd Johnson for re-election to Tewksbury’s Board of Selectmen. I have served with Todd on the Board for the past eight years and the first word that comes to mind is leadership. Todd personifies leadership and his position as Chairman highlights his strong leadership skills. His command of each meeting’s agenda is clearly evident at every Selectman meeting and his oratory skills are outstanding.
As a former chairman of Tewksbury’s Finance Committee, Todd has been instrumental with working with our Town Manager on the Town’s annual budget. The Town Manager sits with each Selectman to go over the annual budget but I believe that Todd’s experience in this area gives him the advantage of the finer details which is a tremendous plus for our Board. The positive rise in the Town’s bond rating has been a noticeable, measurable result of careful and responsible budget planning.
In addition to Todd’s community dedication as an elected official, Todd has been one of the long standing Directors of Tewksbury’s food pantry which provides essential assistance to Tewksbury families in need. Each year the food pantry sponsors a fundraising golf tournament at the Tewksbury Country Club which Todd is the primary organizer. This tournament raises thousands of dollars toward the purchase of food to fill the food pantry’s shelves.
Not only am I proud to say that Todd is a great colleague of mine on Tewksbury’s Board of Selectmen, but I consider Todd a close friend as well. His calm and even demeanor are the staple of his personality. He has the ability to work well with all different types of personalities and come to a consensus even in the most difficult of situations.
Please join me in voting for Todd Johnson on Saturday, April 2nd. The polls are open from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
