To the Editor:

We are writing to share our enthusiastic support for Krissy Polimeno for Tewksbury School Committee. Tewksbury is so fortunate to have a candidate of her caliber and dedication. As you are aware, Krissy has been member of the School Committee for the past 6 years and has children at the Ryan Elementary School, Wynn Middle School and Tewksbury High School. But her commitment to the Tewksbury Public Schools goes far beyond the interests of her own children. She she cares deeply about the quality of education for all students. Krissy believes that children are the future of our community and will work hard to ensure that the Tewksbury School System continues to provide the best possible education to prepare each child for a successful future. She has advocated fairly and passionately for students, families, teachers and administrators throughout her 6 years.

We look at Krissy as one of the pillars of our community and the type of individual that is the fabric of our town. Whether it is late nights after board meetings, fundraisers at the Tewksbury County Club, or early mornings coaching basketball, Krissy is everywhere! It is not just her hard work that impresses, it is her results and her essential skills as a team builder that set her apart. Krissy is a member of Tewksbury Girls Basketball League (TGBL) board and has brought leadership and experience that has benefited TGBL immensely. We recently have witnessed her political skill in successfully negotiating gym time between the boys and girls basketball leagues which has improved the two leagues’ relationship. Her no nonsense but fair approach has bridged an important gap. Just Krissy being Krissy, and as great as it is for our respective leagues, what she does for our School system is by far her most important work.

Krissy has accomplished so much in her 6 years as a member of the school committee and her work is not done. We as a community need her to continue what has been a stellar job as evidenced by her being named as the recipient of the “All State School Committee Award” in 2012.The future of our school system and more importantly, our students, could not be in more capable hands.

We encourage all Tewksbury residents to reelect Krissy Polimeno on April 2nd.
