New Members Meeting on Saturday - Lots to see!
The Tewksbury Historical Society will be doing something different for this years “Annual New Members Meeting”. Instead of sitting and listening we will be having 4 distinct areas for the public to view Tewksbury history. It will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at the Tewksbury Library and we will have plenty to see from 1:00-3:00 p.m..
You actually may help us discover the names of of these people. Come and tell us the history and you will be surprised if you know some people in these old pictures.
Our historical event will feature a photographic visual event covering everything from pictures of classes of the Foster School; pictures of Tewksbury firefighters of years past; a recent donation of pictures from the Folsum farm or Heath Brook farm as some like to call it. This was located where the Post Office and the John Ryan’s Pub on both sides of Main Street; and finally a re-run of the Power Point about John F. Kennedy’s 1961 Inauguration.
If your father or mother or grandmother or grandfather went to the Foster school, come by and see if you can see their image in an old class picture! It is free and open to the Public. Take in the view of Tewksbury’s past and JFK’s historic event from 55 years ago this year.
