I have known Erin Knyff for twenty years – as a co-worker, colleague, mentor and friend. Throughout that time, I have had multiple opportunities to see Erin demonstrate a desire to lead and a compassion to impact positive change. From our early days working together at a radio station in Boston, I watched Erin work her way from the receptionist to the producer of the station’s morning show, an unlikely leap in the broadcast industry. After the birth of her first child, Liam, who was diagnosed with Autism, her life and focus took on a new direction. Erin and her husband co-founded a non-profit foundation called Liam Nation, an organization dedicated to providing educational, recreational, and support services to special ability children and their families. The effort has proven to be a huge benefit to local families providing aid and relief during what can otherwise be a stressful time. Erin now wants to share her experience and talents with an even broader population as a member of the Tewksbury School Committee. In this role, I am most confident her grit, perseverance, compassion and desire to serve will be well utilized. Personally, I know Erin to be a good friend, loving mother and wife, and a fierce advocate for bringing the best educational opportunities available to all children. The committee needs and deserves someone with her experience, character and vision. I fully support Erin Knyff in her bid for election to the Tewksbury School Committee and urge you to vote for her on April 2nd.
