LETTER: Ryan School PAC Thanks Volunteers

Mar 27, 2016 06:38AM ● By Bill Gilman
To the Editor:

To our Fantastic Volunteers,

Thank you so much for your contribution of time and energy toward making the 2016 Ryan School Ice Cream Social a smashing success. To all of you that helped set up & clean up, collected cash & tickets, scooped ice cream, served toppings, helped with the free throw contest, came for a hour and stayed the night, helped with the book fair, washed dishes and swept the floor-no job went unnoticed and I thank you. With your help, and help from our local friends at Hannaford, Market Basket, Orange Leaf and Stop & Shop, we were able to serve over 450 ice cream sundaes!  It’s only with committed volunteers like you that we can organize and run fun events such as these. Our students, families and staff greatly benefit from these types of activities, as they serve to bring people together, allowing us to provide an atmosphere for creating a strong sense of school community, spirit and pride. Thank you so much for volunteering we couldn’t have done it without you!
