To the Editor:
It is exciting that this year’s election for Tewksbury School Committee provides our residents with a diverse set of candidates from which to choose and I am excitedly supporting Keith Sullivan for one of those seats on April 2nd.
I have known Keith for many years and he is someone that has always demonstrated a passion for what is best for all residents. I was even more impressed with Keith last year when he made the decision to step up and apply for the vacant position on the School Committee. His willingness to give up his time to give back to our community is not a surprise as he has been involved in volunteer activities his whole life. Although, he was not appointed at the time, he had already made the decision that he was going to run this year.
I am keenly aware of the many challenges facing our School System and Keith’s vast leadership experience, honesty and willingness to listen to and treat all residents equally will be a tremendous asset to this School Committee. This will not just be lip-service but anyone who knows Keith, knows that when you reach out to him, you are going to get someone who will tell you the truth and solve the problem at hand. As we welcome a new Superintendent, the ability to elect someone of Keith’s caliber, who will bring new energy and a fresh set of ideas on how to continue to improve our school system, is a great opportunity for the voters.
During his Candidate’s Night speech on Monday, Keith outlined his main goals for deciding to run for election. Anyone who saw his speech, saw a resident that was fully committed to the role of School Committee member, has the leadership experience to take a major role on the School Committee and has a passion for representing the students, teachers, administrators, coaches, support staff and especially all residents.
You have quite a few choices this year but I encourage you to cast a vote for Keith Sullivan for School Committee.
