Patricia Meuse, running unopposed for re-election to the Shawsheen Tech School Committee, speaks at the 2016 YTT Candidates Night.
More than 100 residents were on hand for the event, which was also taped and is being broadcast continually March 28 through 8 a.m. on March 30 on the Tewksbury Government Channel.
Of the 16 candidates in seven races on the ballot, 12 attended the event and spoke in person, while two others (Todd Johnson, Robert Rosa) made speeches via telephone. Each candidate was allowed a maximum of five minutes. There was also time at the beginning and end of the event for voters to chat with the candidates face-to-face.
Below are videos of the speeches made by candidates in the contested races (Selectmen, School Committee, Board of Health, Planning Board) who were in attendance at the event.
Thank you to Mark Kratman for use of the video clips.
