Tewksbury Community of Artists Donates Hanging Art System To Library For Monthly Exhibits

TEWKSBURY, MA – The Tewksbury Community of Artists recently donated a brand new hanging art system, valued at nearly $600, to the Tewksbury Public Library.

The organization will use the system, located in the library’s first-floor Fairgrieve Wing, to display artwork as part of their monthly art exhibitions.

A gallery opening party and ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday, March 22.

Tewksbury Community of Artists members Pierre Beaumier, Jack Bordenca, Tom Borgal, Valerie Borgal, Maria Galanate, Kristine Layfayette, Wallace Lafayette, Maria Galante, Rita Simard and Jeannete Waugh were in attendance.

“We are more than thrilled that the Tewksbury Community of Artists proposed and funded this marvelous addition to our lovely library!,” said Library Director Diane Giarrusso.

The hanging art system (called a “STAS Cliprail Pro”) was proposed by Tewksbury Community of Artists member Valerie Borgal.  After funding was supported by the Tewksbury Community of Artists Board of Directors, Library Director Diane Giarrusso brought the proposal to the Board of Library Trustees, which unanimously approved the installation.

Through the end of April, the public is invited to the Tewksbury Community of Artists’ latest art exhibit – “Animal World.”  Several local artists are displaying work featuring four-legged beasts, feathered friends, scaly reptiles, insects, rodents and more.

In addition to the monthly art exhibit, the public is invited to attend the Tewksbury Community of Artists’ Annual Spring Art Show on Saturday, April 30, 10am to 3pm, in the library’s Meeting Room.
