According to a press release issued by Nashua Police, patrol officers were dispatched to the Pheasant Lane Mall, for a report of male and female conducting suspicious credit card activity. A Pheasant Lane Mall security officer had received a call from a mall business who explained that on two different occasions, a male and a female had entered the store asking to purchase a gift card. It was learned that the male had used two credit cards to pay for one gift card and that the female did not purchase the gift card because she could not get the exact money value she wanted on one gift card. Security officers were then able to capture the female on video surveillance and observed the female go into another mall business where she purchased another gift card. While patrol officers were on scene, the female was seen on video surveillance exiting the mall and get into the passenger side of a vehicle.Nashua detectives, at the mall on an unrelated investigation, joined patrol officers to conduct a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle, driven by Williams, with Allen as a passenger. Once the vehicle was stopped, detectives were approached by the other male involved from the mall and he was identified as Foreman. During a search of the vehicle, detectives located over 250 counterfeit credit/debit cards, over 20 various gift cards and various receipts originating from the State of North Carolina.
Nashua detectives learned the three suspects were staying at a hotel in Tewksbury and made contact with the Tewksbury Police Department. Detectives from the two departments then executed a search warrant on two hotel rooms at the Residence Inn by Marriot in Tewksbury.
During the search, detectives found a laptop computer, card coder/reader, a box of blank cards and a large quantity of gift cards.
