Tewksbury Police Take Another Longtime Drug Dealer Off The Streets

 A Lowell man with a lengthy history of drug convictions, was arrested by Tewksbury Police on Friday.

Juan Mercado, 26, of 98 19th Street in Lowell, was charged with Distribution of a Class B Substance (3rd or subsequent offense) and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance, (3rd or subsequent offense).

Also arrested was Craig Tyler, 28, of 85 Brooks Street, Maynard. He is charged with Possession of a Class B Substance and Possession of a Class E Substance.

According to Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, TPD detectives made the arrests after observing a narcotics transaction at 836 North Street (Building #300).

A total of 43 oxycodone pills (30 mg) and 26 Methylphenidate pills were seized in the two arrests.

Both suspects were arraigned in Lowell District Court on Tuesday.
